Abstract The Rapid chloride permeability test were carried out to evaluate the salt damage resistance of waterproofing membrane coated on the mortar substrate. Test specimens have ￠100mm×50mm size and are coated with different thickness of urethan or acrylic membrane. As a result of test, the diffusion coefficient of chloride ions of two membrane type were not so different, and depended on the thickness of membrane. The waterproofing membrane coated on substrate had lower diffusion coefficient than that of only mortar substrate and they contributed to the salt damage resistance by having enough thickness of coating.
