Abstract
Sealant performance is one of the important factors to maintain the water-airtightness and durability of building facade, however these studies do not have been investigated in Korea. Therefore, in this study, the tensile properties of sealants by heat deterioration were measured and analysed to gather the basic data of sealant. Most general one-component silicone sealants were used and test specimen was I-type. The test parameters are sealant types and heat deterioration time. As a result of tensile test, the tensile properties of sealant by heat deterioration was decreased than that of normal condition sealant. Moreover, the rate of diminution of bad performance sealant was bigger than good performance sealant.
