Abstract The purpose of this study is evaluation of local failure behavior of concrete by high-velocity impact. It was evaluated failure behavior of front and rear side and shear-crack patterns if cross-section. As a result, shear crack was occurred by delivery of the shock wave and spalling of rear was occurred because of shear crack. The fiber-reinforced concrete was not occurred spalling of rear because of control of shear crack by bridging effect of fiber.
