abstract

In this study, the tensile perfomance of specimens having different depths and widths of sealed joint was evaluated by tensile test. One-component silicone sealant was used and each five kinds of width and depth were tested by tensile testing machine at 5mm/min speed. The tensile strength, deformation and fracture were investigated. The wider the joint width was, the larger the tensile deformation was. Also, the Depth and Width coefficient (D/W) of the sealed joint influenced on their tensile performance.
