Abstract
In order to improve the impact resistance of concrete, vasrious cement composites reinforced with various fibers are being studied, Among them, steel fiber is used as a material for shotcrete, but there is concern about damage of pressure hose or rebound, and therefore, adoption of organic fiber has been studies recently. So, in this study, the fracture behaviors of cement composites reinforced with smooth steel fiber and polyvinyl alcohol fiber were evaluated. After that, fracture depth and crater diameter of the fiber reinforced cement composite were measured.
