Abstract In this study, the strain rate effect on the tensile behavior of steel fiber hybrid reinforced cementitious composites was evaluated. Experimental results, in the case of specimens reinforced with 1.0 vol.% of hooked steel fiber and 1.0 vol.% of smooth steel fiber, SSF controls micro-cracking and improves the pull-out resistance performance of HSF. So, the strain capacity was decreased, but the tensile strength and energy absorbtion capacity were greatly improved.
