ABSTRACT
Conductivity is a very important factor in electromagnetic pulse (EMP) shielding, because EMP shielding is made by reflection, multiple reflection, absorption etc. Currently, additional shielding device or metal sheets are used to shield EMP, but this method requires additional construction steps and it is difficult to ensure the durability. Amorphous metallic fiber is expected to improve the reflection and absorption of EMP, because it has a large number of fibers compared with normal steel fiber at the same volume fraction and a thin plate shape. Therefore, this study evaluates the conductivity of Amorphous metallic fiber reinforced cementitious composite as a basic step before confirming the EMP shielding performance. As a result, amorphous steel fiber is thought to increase the probability of fiber continuity, because of the large number of fiber and large specific surface area.
